SUBJECT 3- ILLEGAL PARKING (residential areas)

PROBLEM

Parking space has been a problem ever since acquiring a car took a leap of uncomplicated and accessibility to achieve. Walkways, thorough fares, pedestrian lanes has a parked car in site congesting our roads and complicating the policy of illegal parking.

CONCEPT OF "ELIMINATION"

This process of elimination took longer than the usual but in three to ten (3-10 )years from the day of implementation , change can be seen. The city government unit as well as the Government itself should take at least credit from the registered car owner with its monthly dues.

With this process, towing services cannot abused car owners with their bribery and corruption and no contact policies can be strictly implemented. We should be more vigilant with the ideas of elimination since this may be hard at first try but when you see the outcome, you’ll be glad this was implemented.

i. BY ELIMINATION

We call this idea “CONCEPT BY ELIMINATION” a process that takes longer time to see the outcome but far more effective than the usual solution that has been tackled with the same process:

Step 1. BARANGGAY CHAIRMAN must be stricter than the usual as he needed to deal with hard-headed constituents.

Step 2. MARKED PARKING SPACE for legitimate car park owner that should be registered to the City Hall and Barangay.

Step 3. Monthly Parking Payment for the legitimate car park owner . This solution was thought through since the Government should at least have some credit since the parking space that was being used was owned by the Government.

If by any chance, someone violates this ordinance, regardless of who is he/ she in the barangay should be given violation ticket. From this time on, only registered cars are allowed to be park in the area only designated for the owner. He/She should not parked in area wherein the owner is not registered to.

In addition, A Mobile Application called The Patriot must be programmed to report illegal usage of Parking Box within the Barangay area.

OTHER OPTION
Some Barangays in Metro Manila has tied-up with Vacant Lot Owners for them to be able to use the Property for Parking Purposes in exchange of monthly payment.
